Phat Buns (Loughborough)

The food is one of a kind and the packaging is amazing. I am always left with a smile from the brilliance of the company in general. It’s one of my main favourite places to eat! Shoutout to all the staff for their excellent, great hospitality and service towards me and also other customers. Give them a raise!

Great burgers and loaded fries, after an awful experience with Just Eat where the food arrived cold nearly 20 minutes after it left Phat Buns (it’s a 4 minute drive). Over half of my food was missing. I spoke to Phat Buns who offered to replace the whole order and deliver it again. I explained I would collect. The service I received when I got to the store was first class, with offers for extras and an explanation that the Just Eat delivery person had been banned from the store (due to the time taken to get the food to us). Phat Buns excellent - but avoid using Just Eat to get the food.

Best fast food burger I've ever had! Lettuce and tomato were fresh, the beef was juicy and flavoursome, the chips were perfectly cooked, and the drinks tasted amazing! 100% would recommend, especially over other fast food burger places. We got the lunch meal deal (pictured) and it was only £6 each which is cheaper than Burger King for a better burger!

Food 7/10 I made my own Phat burger (picture of menu uploaded) Beef Angus 6oz with grilled mushrooms and caramelized onions as extras and a can for a drink. The meal was really tasty, nice and juicy. The salad and sauce complemented the beef. Another member bought a cheetos burger which was great. We ordered a side of BBQ and regular wings which were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside similar to KFC but a little better in my opinion. Service 10/10 Server was very helpful, knowing that it was our first time. He gave us pointers and kept his cool, wasnt condescending or rude. Atmosphere 8/10 Nice place to grab a quick bite to eat with friends. Spacious for a burger joint, very modern and gives good vibes. A designated point to wash hands too which is a fantastic touch in this day and age. Overall Great place to grab bite to eat, fully reccomend.

This isn’t my first time ordering from Phat Buns, but the collection and takeaway experience has repeatedly been disappointing. The staff often appear disengaged and provide little to no communication when you ask for an update, which comes across as unprofessional. The waiting times in store are particularly concerning. Whether you’re collecting an order or placing one to take home, the wait is consistently 45 minutes to over an hour. This happens even when the store doesn’t seem especially busy, and there’s no clear explanation or update provided during the delay. Overall, the collection and takeaway service lacks efficiency, communication, and basic customer care. After several experiences with the same issues, it’s clear that significant improvements are needed.
